Founded in 1924 by a small group of Chicago hardware store owners, Ace changed the retail landscape by allowing individual stores to purchase bulk goods to save money and buy at the lowest possible price. This partnership has enabled even smaller stores to compete effectively in retail in spite of larger stores on their market. And to this very day, Ace Hardware Corporation is still owned solely and exclusively by local Ace retailers.

 

Since 1991, Ace has been a proud partner of the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals and the American Red Cross in disaster relief efforts. Through Ace retailers and customers, vendor partners and corporate team members, we raised over $100 million to CMN Hospitals and supported the American Red Cross through both monetary and product donations in the event of a disaster.

 

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raise awareness and funding for 170 member hospitals providing 32 million treatments each year to children across the U.S. and Canada. Donations remain local to fund critical treatment and healthcare services, and to support research and training, all in order to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

 

Ace stores support their local CMN Hospitals in a variety of ways, including our Miracle Bucket promotion, changes to the register, in-store fundraising events and more. And just like Ace, CMN Hospitals are local — meaning the money raised in your Ace neighborhood goes to your local CMN Hospital.

 

Ace Hardware is proud to partner with the American Red Cross in disaster relief efforts. From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, the American Red Cross goes wherever it is needed, so that people can have clean water, safe shelter and hot food when they need it most.
